Dréimire Project

The Dréimire project is an ongoing multi-year audition support programme lead by Crooked House Theatre Company and featuring the participation of Kildare Youth Theatre. 

The project provides a network of supports to young and upcoming actors in Ireland who wish to pursue professional acting or directing education in the United Kingdom.

Ragaire Project

The Ragaire project is a multi-year Key Action 2 Erasmus+ project lead by Crooked House Theatre Company and featuring the participation of Kildare Youth Theatre. 

The project was an international youth theatre festival featuring actors from across Europe who created poltically-engaged work designed to be shown to change-makers across Europe. It recently concluded.

Hestia Project

Hestia is a multi-year Key Action 2 Erasmus+ project lead by Crooked House Theatre Company and featuring the participation of Kildare Youth Theatre. 

It aims to encourage the exchange of good practices based on the concept of Community Theatre as a tool for social inclusion in youth work.

Digital Drama Workshops  

Digital Drama Workshops Baden 1

Digital Drama Workshops is a multi-year Key Action 2 Erasmus+ project lead by Crooked House Theatre Company and featuring the participation of Kildare Youth Theatre, BeyondBuhne of Austria, Rogaland Teatre of Norway and Creatius Pirineus of Spain.

These theatre companies are working together to create a free, publicly accessible network of resources for theatre practitioners on creating theatre online and for similar projects.

Proposed Cultural Centre for Young People

Kildare Youth Theatre is currently in the process of evaluating the feasibility of a dedicated Centre for young people in the Newbridge or general Kildare area, as no such space currently insists.

We teamed up with Comminqué International, a team of top-level researchers, who had our members and the local community voice their desire and need for such a project.

Drama For Youth Work

Drama For Youth Work (DFYW) is a now completed Key Action 2 Erasmus+ project featuring Kildare Youth Theatre, BeyondBuhne of Austria and On&Off Teatro of Spain.

The DFYW project was aimed at creating a free, online network of resources for theatre practioners across Europe. A series of videos and texts were created which are all freely accessible at www.dramaforyouthwork.eu

Past Projects Archive

Kildare Youth Theatre maintains an extensive archive of all of its productions, projects, training programmes and exchanges.

All of our projects, dating from as recent as 2021, to as back as far our first in 1996, can be viewed for free on our Past Projects Archive.

This is currently a work in progress and extensively detailed archival currently only goes as far back as 2007.
