We're excited to share an update on Seasagí Suas, a youth led initiative dedicated to combating racism through creativity and community-building. Participants are currently producing five podcasts and five social media videos (TikTok and Instagram), with members of our community such as student teachers, politicians and members of Crooked House who are involved in raising awareness of the topic.

Each post is designed to equip young people with practical, proven strategies to respond to racism in their communities. A key highlight of the project is a structured drama workshop, which will be delivered to schools and youth groups to raise awareness and spark dialogue around racism and inclusion.

Our goals are clear: to ensure young people feel safe and heard, to address ethnic inequalities, to encourage active participation, and to provide educators and youth workers with impactful tools. The work being done reflects our belief that the burden of combating racism shouldn't fall solely on its victims.

Instead, Seasaigh Suas creates space for young leaders—members of our team include Clara Guyot, Marta Peniza, Thabiso Malete, Alex Prikna and Chloe Martin being led by John O’Hagan—to stand up, speak out, and lead a shared journey toward equality.

Stay tuned for our first podcast release!

The Seasagí Suas Project has been generously funded by Kildare County Council through the Ireland Against Racism 2024 Fund, a fund from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
